Fresh from her appearance on CNN’s “Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown” about Miami’s culinary scene and beyond, chef Michelle Bernstein reinvents and reopens her decade-old Michy’s as Cena. The name, Spanish for supper or main meal, combines trends (sweetbread tacos, sunchokes), shared plates (porchetta and braised peaches) and her oft-requested signatures (fettucine carbonara, short rib and brisket burger) for a home away from home vibe versus the former space’s occasion-driven dinners. The chef who also just filmed an episode of PBS’s “Moveable Feast with Fine Cooking” at Paradise Farms gets her veggie on through dishes that pique diehard meat eaters. Being a Florida girl, she offers several seafood plates like a spicy Brazilian stew with snapper, shrimp and farofa. A new bar area and refurbished terrazzo floors are less cluttered, too.
